What and when to eat pre/post Workout

Post  Thor on Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:53 pm

I've heard a lot of people asking questions about this both on here and in the gym. Pops has given some great answers so I'm going to let him break it down for everyone in this thread then we'll 'sticky' it (make it stay up top).

The microphone is yours pops!

Hello guys!!

Pre wod fueling:

This is going to be very individual, really depends on your schedule, time of day you train (6am or 5pm?), your digestion ability and The WOD (short high-power output, heavy day, chipper etc).

As for post wod fueling:

Again, going to be very different for everyone but I would say the sooner the better in most cases. There are way to many factors for determining exactly what you need post wod except to say experiment and play with it.

Also, your goals whether it be fat loss, mass gain, performance etc will also play a huge factor in your pre/post wod meals.

If anyone would like more specific information on this for their own training,
please let Brad or myself know Very Happy
