Re: March 6 / day 6
Amazing Job everyone !!! Some great recipes out there, it's my cooking day so going to try a few of them
To all the coconut bliss bar fans, including myself, Agave nectar or syrup is not paleo, your right it's from a plant but Robb Wolf refers to agave as "Liquid Dealth". Below is a paragraph from Health-Bent.com Crash course on Sugar.
Agave nectar is made in a similar fashion as high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). The starch inside the agave plant is transformed into free synthetic fructose. Agave nectar has more synthetic fructose than HFCS. So what does that mean? Your body can’t use it and so it ends up stored as fat in your body, is inflammatory and can wreck your metabolism. No thanks.
Sooo no more BLISS BARS !!! ( I'm mean now, since coffee is out of diet)
Keeeeeeep it ups guys!!! Can't wait to see you all tomorrow

Re: March 6 / day 6
Sunday funday
Breakfast: Yam fried up
Snack: COCONUT WATER! !
Lunch: Leftover cabbage/sausage fried up with a bit of salami for oil + a little bit of left over guac
Snack: Pear, couple slices of salami
Dinner: Paleo Chili (spicy italian sausage + carrots + onions + white shrooms + pasta sauce + garlic + olive oil), bit of guac over the top.
Snack: Baked some Paleo 'muffins' today- had a few bites- can't wait for breakfast, gunna toast these bad boys up
I definitely am going to up the amount of leafy greens in the diet this week. Minor headaches today, bod still seems to be adjusting. There was a big stretch between snack and dinner where I didn't eat for almost 3 hours- left me a little cranky. I cooked a bunch today and I think the week will be better than weekend to space out the meals.

Re: March 6 / day 6
Today wasn't an epic failure, but it wasn't far from it. It was my sisters wedding shower and I made this:
- lemon tart from scratch
- buttermilk scones from scratch, with honey butter/jam
- spinach/gruyere quiche from scratch
Yes, I sampled all of the above but I didn't have whole servings. Still, my stomach was not happy by the end of it.
Breakfast was good - greens drink w/emergen c, berries and coconut milk, plus a paleo muffin
Lunch - see above list of delicious things, plus some fruit and lots of green tea and water
Dinner - stomach upset from the afternoon, so I just ate some of the beef bolognese sauce I'm making for my lunches this week.

Re: March 6 / day 6
Lol, Erin your a day behind it's not "upon awaking" anymore its...
First thing out of bed : 1 lamb sausage, 1/3 cup berries in coconut milk
Snack: 1 turkey pepperoni stick, brazil nuts, 3 strawberries
Lunch: chicken curry on mash cauliflower/ 3 crackers/celery
Dinner: same as lunch but on a yam ( sooo good)
Few things to say, I highly recommend the spicy lamb sausages from organic world, very good! Also what is the deal with coconut flour, do not sub in a recipe that calls for almond flour, holy geeps I have so much of the batter leftover and the more I add to it the bigger it gets because its so dry.
Off to do a ton of dishes WHAT A MESS.
Patti, Great job on your row yesterday and your first Saturday class your meals look perfect. Miranda glad it's getting easier for you, it totally does.

Curry Chicken Question
For anyone who has made the curry chicken...did you find the flavor good? We made it and it smelled amazing but seemed to lack in total flavor. Thinking it may have needed salt during production time. Thoughts?

Day 7
Congrats to everyone for the first week! I am feeling really good - like a goddess really so I should have changed my answer on the poll. It's good to be alive!
Breakfast: 5 tbsp hemp hearts, 1/4 blueberries, almond milk, slivered almonds, sunflower seeds, 50/50 glass of water/apple juice
Lunch: Yam and veggies soup, experimental but yummy turkey mini-meat loafs with carrots and zucchini and eggs. (tell me what you think Popeye!)
Dinner: Tacos (minus the cheese, tortillas, and sour cream) meat, tomatoes and salad. Apple with almond butter for dessert. 50/50 water apple juice and 500ml of electrolyte drink after the workout.
Checked the scale - down in weight so let the leaning continue!
